Bega, a major food manufacturer and ASX-listed group, faced an inflexible, paper-based maintenance system that couldn’t attach asset documents or be tailored to varied maintenance tasks, making permits hard to manage and hindering efforts to reduce equipment failure and maximize uptime. To solve this, Bega selected MEX and its MEX Maintenance Software.
MEX deployed a configurable CMMS—including the MEX iOS app, custom reports, finance integration and a strong Preventative Maintenance structure—to digitize workflows and centralize asset paperwork. As a result, Bega saw a dramatic decrease in paper usage, the majority of day-to-day tasks computerized, a significant reduction in administration hours, centralized permit storage and improved maintenance planning and uptime thanks to MEX.
