Western Murray Irrigation supplies untreated river water and drainage services to irrigation and domestic customers across three NSW Sunraysia locations, operating five pump stations, a pipelined supply network, meters, telemetry and deep/surface drains. Facing a time-consuming maintenance regime run from a mix of spreadsheets and separate programs, Western Murray selected MEX (its CMMS) for SQL compatibility, logical asset hierarchy and a simple but powerful feature set.

MEX centralized Western Murray’s asset register, maintenance documentation and scheduling on a single SQL-backed system, providing one source of truth that integrates with other business systems. The hierarchy and duplicate-asset functions let the operator progressively build and manage what may be up to a million assets, reducing data duplication, speeding asset creation and routine planning, and saving significant staff time; MEX’s online help and training also smoothed adoption and improved overall maintenance control.
