World’s Third Largest Hamburger Fast Food Chain faced fragmented, costly communications across roughly 2,000 locations—over 100 carriers, hidden fees and erroneous charges, insufficient bandwidth for digital signage and POS, and an urgent three-month migration timeline to achieve scalable, standardized franchise communications. To address this, the chain engaged MetTel, leveraging MetTel’s broadband, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet and Bruin communications management platform alongside professional project management and consultation services.
MetTel consolidated the customer’s carrier base, audited and imported inventory into the Bruin platform, and provided a dedicated project team and standardized programs for franchisee communications. The work upgraded 267 stores with enhanced Wi‑Fi (157 more in process), delivered 54% savings within one year, identified $1.6M in annual savings via carrier and invoice consolidation, and realized over $4M in hard and soft savings to date; MetTel is now included in the chain’s buyer’s guide.
