A MetroQuest Case Study
Metro Nashville Planning Commission faced the challenge of creating a comprehensive long-range plan for a rapidly growing region, with issues ranging from suburbanization of poverty and outdated commercial corridors to transit gaps and neighborhood redevelopment. To ensure the plan reflected community priorities, the commission turned to MetroQuest for digital community engagement as part of the NashvilleNext planning process.
Using MetroQuest alongside traditional meetings and focus groups, Metro Nashville engaged thousands of residents through multiple rounds of public input, collecting 72,673 data points and about 5,907 engaged Nashvillians at an average cost of $3 per participant. The feedback helped shape an award-winning comprehensive plan that was unanimously adopted in 2015 and later earned the 2016 APA Daniel Burnham Award, demonstrating the impact of MetroQuest in building broad public support and actionable planning insights.
