Danone Makes Their Baby Food More Sustainable Thanks to METRON

Danone, a food and beverage company, sought to make the production of its Blédina baby food more sustainable by reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions at its factory in Brive-la-Gaillarde. To achieve these environmental goals, the customer adopted the digital energy management platform from vendor METRON.

The METRON solution connected to the factory's data sources to monitor and manage all energy flows in real-time. Using advanced data analysis and artificial intelligence, the platform provided recommendations that led to energy savings of 3.7% in the first year, growing to 5% by 2018, which equated to €150,000 in savings. The success at this site led Danone to deploy METRON's solution across other plants globally.
