Integrated GRC Case Study of BAYADA Home Healthcare – A Compliance Perspective

BAYADA Home Health Care, a large nonprofit provider operating 357 service offices across 22 states and serving tens of thousands of clients daily, faced fragmented quality, compliance, and risk processes—tracked across paper, Excel, and multiple legacy systems—with inconsistent standards across practices. Leadership set out to standardize monitoring, improve reporting and accountability, and choose a single GRC platform to connect clinical, operational, and back-office data.

After evaluating 31 products and demos from three vendors, BAYADA implemented MetricStream’s Case & Incident Management module as a centralized repository, rolled out role-based training, and went live in December 2017. The platform delivered greater transparency and streamlined reporting—yielding tens of thousands of logged events (35,049 incidents, 2,157 complaints, 3,355 infections), easier Tableau exports for analysis, and clearer accountability—while lessons learned around UI, integrations, and change management are guiding Phase 2 enhancements.
