A MetraTech Case Study
Chicago O’Hare International Airport, operated by the City of Chicago, needed to replace a time-consuming, manual process for calculating complex airport-use fees, leases, and concessions. The airport’s billing model involved many contract-based charges and annual true-ups, and the existing approach was prone to delays, errors, and poor integration with other city systems. MetraTech’s MetraNet billing and settlement platform was selected to address these challenges.
MetraTech implemented MetraNet with configurable fee structures, automated calculation and reconciliation, and integration into the City of Chicago’s finance systems. The solution improved billing accuracy, sped up invoicing and audits, and reduced manual effort, while also creating a flexible platform for future automation across other city departments.
