Ministry of Justice transforms prison technology for 60,000 users with Methods

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) had a vision to modernize its IT ecosystem for over 60,000 prison service staff. Their challenge was to execute a large-scale migration to Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10, which involved deploying new hardware, upgrading infrastructure, and decommissioning legacy systems. Methods was engaged to help achieve these modernization goals.

Methods initially assisted by setting up the Programme Management Office (PMO) before expanding its role to provide Product Management, Delivery Management, Business Analysis, and Programme Assurance. Over 80 resources from Methods worked on the programme, which was a great success. The end-user feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with the transformation described using words like 'revolutionary', 'gamechanger', and 'dependable', confirming the vision was delivered in its entirety.
