Vola, a personal finance company enhancing financial literacy for the underbanked, wanted to build a Loan Dashboard feature to help users manage debt and improve their credit scores. The challenge was obtaining comprehensive, real-time data on user loans, as traditional credit reports often lag by up to 60 days. To power this feature, Vola partnered with Method to leverage its consumer-permissioned financial data service, Method Data.
Using Method's real-time data connectivity, Vola provided users with a consolidated view of all their loan accounts, including balances and payment dates. This solution led to a 10x increase in Loan Dashboard users and a 50% increase in time spent on the Vola app. Most significantly, users saw an average credit score improvement of 31 points, demonstrating Method’s critical role in advancing user financial health.
