The customer, KISTERS, faced the challenge of bringing its proven hail detection and intelligence system to the complex and fragmented European weather data landscape, where accessing timely, localized, and high-resolution hail data was difficult and expensive. To overcome this barrier, KISTERS partnered with vendor Meteomatics.

Meteomatics provided the high-resolution forecasting and API access needed to power the HailSens360 solution, including developing hail size as a specific forecast output. This integration enabled KISTERS to deliver fast, accurate hail alerts, 48-hour forecasts, and post-storm insights to European customers in the solar, agriculture, and insurance sectors, finally closing the data gap for hail risk management on the continent.
