Brook Green Supply (BGS), part of the CFP Energy group, supplies energy and innovative solutions to industrial and commercial customers across the U.K. Its challenge was accurately forecasting local gas demand, especially for non-daily metered customers, where weather is a major driver of daily consumption and imbalance risk. BGS needed a reliable way to calculate Composite Weather Variables (CWV) to support better trading and demand planning, and turned to Meteomatics for weather data and CWV forecasting.

Meteomatics provided daily CWV calculations and 14-day forecasts for all 13 U.K. local distribution zones plus a national aggregate, delivered via an easy-to-use API and daily email updates. After a smooth testing phase with zero downtime, BGS integrated Meteomatics into its core system and reported significantly improved results: greater forecasting confidence, lower imbalance costs, better trading decisions, and higher profits.
