Polkomtel (Plus), one of Poland’s largest mobile operators, needed to differentiate its services in a highly competitive market while quickly launching new offerings at lower cost. It also had to protect revenue from more than 20 existing mobile IN services after a vendor end-of-life notification, all while preserving the same look and feel for those services. Metaswitch supported this effort with its Open Service Delivery Platform.

Metaswitch implemented an Open Service Delivery Platform to replace the legacy IN environment, reduce vendor dependence, and enable faster, more flexible service innovation. The platform allowed Polkomtel to recreate and expand services, with more than 30 services rebuilt for 14 million subscribers and access to 30+ services overall. Results included first-service launch in under 9 months, around a 12-month reduction in time to market for new services, and a lower-risk, cost-effective path to future service development.
