Gorgeous Shop partners with MetaPack to develop a more streamlined approach to customer focused delivery

Gorgeous Shop, a Hertfordshire-based luxury haircare and beauty retailer, faced rising operational strain from manual address entry, courier-specific bespoke systems and frequent picking/manifesting errors as it scaled. To streamline delivery and free up resource for growth, Gorgeous Shop partnered with Metapack in 2009 and adopted Metapack Manager along with Carrier Allocation, Automation and Outsourced Fulfilment services.

Metapack integrated with Gorgeous Shop’s Orderwise WMS and its 3PL partner (Promotional Handling Ltd) to automate courier selection, parcel labelling and rule-based allocation by territory and product, giving commercial, warehouse and customer service teams full visibility. The Metapack solution delivered greater efficiency at point of despatch, a significant reduction in errors, a move to a 3PL model and measurable business impact — repeat business now at 60% and support for sales in excess of £8m.
