Halfords, a UK retailer offering 30,000 product lines across more than 460 stores, needed to expand its delivery options and improve the online-to-store customer experience by offering free click-and-collect. To do this it partnered with Metapack, deploying Metapack’s Supplier Direct (alongside MetaPack Manager and Ship to Store capabilities) to integrate supplier fulfilment with its multichannel operations.

Metapack’s solution imports daily order data from SAP, lets suppliers view pre-allocated consignments via a web interface, prints carrier labels and notifies carriers—giving Halfords full visibility and control without extra implementation cost. The Metapack deployment enabled free delivery to store, increased scalability and delivery flexibility, and helped drive higher customer loyalty, retention and in-store sales.
