Hisco, Inc., a growing industrial supply company, struggled with Microsoft Exchange growth and employees storing large PST files on personal PCs because mailboxes were limited to 300 MB, putting critical email at risk of loss and making retention and search difficult. To address this, Hisco selected Metalogix Software and its Metalogix Archive Manager - Exchange Edition as a central, transparent archiving and retention solution.

Metalogix Software deployed Archive Manager on a virtual machine using an existing NAS, implementing archiving for 350 mailboxes (about 100 GB) in roughly 30 minutes and offloading 50 GB from the Exchange server. The solution eliminated dispersed PSTs, provided built-in discovery search and a single database for management, improved data protection and retention, and enabled Hisco, Inc. to confidently plan an Exchange upgrade.
