MetaDocs helped a large commercial document management company address the challenge of handling hundreds of commercial documents and invoices each day, where manual scanning, physical archiving, and inconsistent classification created risks of misfiling, loss, and limited access for non-accounting users. The company needed a better way to organize, search, and link invoices with ERP or accounting records while preserving access control and auditability.

Using Astris DM and Astris Integration Client, MetaDocs implemented a document management workflow for invoice reception, barcode-based identification, batch scanning, archiving, search, and approval processes, with integration to any accounting software. The solution enabled easy retrieval of documents for accounting, approvers, and auditors, and the case study reports that hundreds of invoices are processed daily, more than 85,000 invoices have already been archived for one client, and 0% of invoices are lost.
