Securitas Direct, a leading alarm and security services company active in nine countries with about 1.5 million customers and 6,000 employees, needed to replace a mostly manual, fragmented HR environment with a common global system. After a roughly nine‑month review of ~60 HR applications, the company chose Meta4 and its PeopleNet platform to standardize cross‑border processes, automate workflows and provide user‑friendly manager/employee self‑service—despite the implementation challenges posed by distance between the vendor in Spain and the customer in Scandinavia.

Meta4 delivered PeopleNet in phased deployments (core HR followed by self‑service, which went live in Feb 2011) with workflow automation and Active Directory integration. The solution consolidated HR data and KPIs, improved communication and process quality, enabled faster onboarding of acquisitions (a newly acquired company was added in one week), reduced administrative effort and allowed HR to shift toward more strategic work.
