Europcar, the European leader in car rentals with about 1,300 employees in Spain and 250 customer service centres, faced HR challenges from seasonal workforce rotation (peaks April–October) and wide geographic dispersion that made internal communications and consistent labour policies difficult. To address this, Europcar partnered with Meta4 and adopted its PeopleNet solution, including an employee portal and talent-management tools.

Meta4 implemented PeopleNet to automate payroll and HR processes, deploy an employee self-service portal, and provide talent-identification and development capabilities. The result was streamlined, systematised HR operations (replacing many manual tasks), improved internal communications across dozens of sites, and strong user acceptance as the portal was progressively extended—giving Europcar clearer talent data and better tools to attract, develop and retain staff.
