WoraPay, a fintech offering the WioPay mobile wallet to let customers order and pay ahead and avoid queues, needed a reliable way to verify users globally by phone number as it scaled across the UK, Europe and beyond. To avoid building its own carrier agreements and verification tools, WoraPay partnered with Messente and used Messente’s user verification API to send SMS PIN codes to anchor user profiles to mobile numbers.

Messente’s verification API, backed by 800+ mobile network and hub partnerships in over 190 countries, delivers PINs with at least a 98% delivery rate, enabling fast, reliable account verification without in‑house infrastructure. By using Messente, WoraPay sped up onboarding, supported global expansion, and reduced wait times for customers (saving about 3 minutes per order), while avoiding the cost and complexity of developing its own verification system.
