A Message Systems Case Study
XING, founded in 2003, is a leading social business network for German-speaking professionals with over 13 million members. Rapid growth meant many users changed or closed email addresses without updating profiles, causing XING to send messages to invalid accounts; ISPs treated this like spam, leading to blocks, declining deliverability and a poorer user experience.
To fix this, XING worked with Return Path and migrated its sending infrastructure to Message Systems’ Momentum platform. The upgrade improved sender reputation and consolidated triggered and bulk messages, giving a consistent brand experience, better queuing and multi‑language support, and the ability to send digest emails. Deliverability rose into the high 90s (reaching virtually 100% with major providers), boosting engagement, site traffic and time on site.
