Rockefeller Center sought to understand the movement and behavior of the millions of annual visitors to its landmark property. The challenge was to gain insight into arrival patterns, interactions, and how people moved around the various retail spaces and attractions to better inform operational and commercial decisions. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Meshh for its spatial analytics service.

Meshh implemented a solution by deploying over 45 sensors across the property to capture millions of data points over a three-month period. This allowed Meshh to analyze visitor flow, frequency, and engagement duration, revealing patterns between different tenant areas and tourist attractions. The insights enabled Rockefeller Center to identify optimal areas for staff deployment, improve wayfinding, and enhance its overall commercial and sponsorship potential.
