George Mason University deploys 165 Solstice Pods across 28 classrooms with Mersive

George Mason University faced the challenge of creating innovative, flexible active learning classrooms in its new Horizon Hall, where no seating was fixed. They needed a wireless content sharing solution that supported bring-your-own-device (BYOD) for both faculty and students, was intuitive to use, and could integrate securely and at scale on the university's network. To meet this, they partnered with Mersive.

Mersive implemented its Solstice wireless collaboration platform across Horizon Hall, deploying 165 Solstice Pods behind every display in classrooms, collaboration spaces, and common areas. The solution provided seamless, secure, and easy-to-use wireless sharing from any device. The results enabled truly flexible, collaborative, and touch-free active learning environments, with professors able to easily share student group work across all room displays. GMU was so pleased that they standardized on Mersive Solstice across their entire campus.
