The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) needed a next-generation cybersecurity framework that could deliver the highest level of endpoint security from a single central location. Merlin International was selected to provide a centralized, enterprise-wide Anti-Virus (AV), Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Anti-Spyware, and Anti-Malware solution to protect the VA’s large global network of workstations and servers.

Merlin International designed, implemented, and operates the solution with high-availability East/West data center failover, centralized reporting, and ongoing operations and maintenance support. The result was a seamless transition with no interruption of service, 63,399,419 intrusion attempts blocked, nearly 5 million fewer suspicious or malicious emails received, 788,159,305 malware instances blocked or contained, and improved protection for medical devices and unencrypted email traffic.
