Leading Motor Finance Company partnered with MERJE to respond to increasing FCA scrutiny of the motor finance sector and strengthen its compliance and risk capabilities. The business needed specialist recruitment support to build a new Risk and Compliance function from the ground up, including interim leadership and senior experts who could establish robust governance frameworks and help raise standards to a bank-like level.

MERJE placed an Interim Chief Risk Officer and Interim Head of Compliance within two weeks, then helped fill six senior contractor roles and several additional interim positions shortly after, all on budget and within agreed timelines. The campaign also led to the appointment of a permanent CRO, with MERJE supporting the build-out of a new permanent team to improve risk management, compliance, and long-term regulatory readiness.
