The University of Mumbai, one of India’s largest universities with 711 affiliated colleges, needed a secure, transparent and scalable way to manage massive examination workflows. To replace manual evaluation and meet aggressive targets — scan 16 lakh answer scripts, enable ~150 marking centres, train thousands of teachers and publish scores within 45 days — the University engaged MeritTrac to deploy its On-Screen Marking (OSM) / RM evaluation system.

MeritTrac implemented a centralized database, integrated Tracmarks with the RM online-evaluation platform and rolled out tools for scanning, online revaluation, PDF/photocopy delivery, attendance, faculty registration, evaluator communication and layered security (IP/MAC capture, OTPs). The program enabled large-scale remote marking (e.g., FH-2017: 1,766,300 scripts evaluated with 16,393 teachers), eliminated insecure transport of answer books, sped up revaluation and score release, provided online photocopies and click-of-a-button MIS reporting — demonstrating clear operational and measurable benefits delivered by MeritTrac.
