The Large State Technical Education Board, the examining and certifying body for diploma and ITI colleges in the state, ran biannual paper-based descriptive exams and struggled with long result turnaround times (target: 30 days), security and logistical risks, demotivated evaluators, and limited access to evaluated scripts. The board engaged MeritTrac and its on-screen marking platform, TracMarks, to address these issues.

MeritTrac deployed TracMarks to digitize and anonymize answer sheets at a controlled central location, deliver them online to authorized evaluation centers, and eliminate manual totaling and transport delays. The solution improved evaluator experience, reduced malpractice and re-evaluation requests, and made annotated answer sheets available to students; as a result, the board now announces results in under 30 days, has evaluated over 2.4 lakh answer sheets in two years, and reports higher evaluator participation and greater transparency.
