First Bank of Ohio, a family‑owned Ohio lender focused on auto loans, was using an outdated loan origination system that was no longer supported and couldn’t keep up with dealer volume or underwriting speed. To process loans more quickly and eliminate paper and fax bottlenecks, they selected MeridianLink and its MeridianLink Consumer LOS.
MeridianLink implemented its SaaS MeridianLink Consumer solution with automation, data integration and custom reporting, enabling dealer-submitted applications to flow directly into the system and speeding underwriting. As a result, First Bank of Ohio went from roughly 2,500 to about 3,600 loan applications per month, moved to a paperless process that reduced funding time, and gained custom reports to analyze and improve lending operations.
