Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative partnered with Meridian Cooperative to give its 40 field personnel better tools for daily linework, inspections, service orders, and emergency restoration. The cooperative wanted to replace paper-heavy, time-consuming field processes with a more efficient way to find jobs, coordinate crews, and access the right forms and asset information in the field.

Meridian Cooperative implemented Futura GIS tools, including FieldPro, Indigo, and OMS, on iPads for lineworkers and contractors, along with mapping, vehicle location, and outage management capabilities. The solution helped Travis Smart and his team travel lighter, close jobs faster, improve safety and coordination, and capture outage details directly in the field; Oregon Trail also equipped 10 tree-trimming contractors with the same tools to keep work aligned.
