MercuryGate Helps USCS Reduce Carrier Costs, Gain Efficiency Fast, Easy-To-Use Technology Creates Opportunities, Adds Value

United States Cold Storage (USCS) is a leading North American provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and transportation, operating 34 warehouses and delivering more than 50,000 loads annually through its multi-vendor consolidation (MVC) program. USCS needed to reduce carrier expenses as a percentage of revenue and cut the number of trucks required for daily operations while preserving the integrity of frozen and chilled shipments.

USCS integrated MercuryGate’s Mojo transportation optimization with its proprietary TMS to automate load planning, consolidate LTL into high-cube truckloads, and enforce rules that prevent co-loading incompatible temperature-sensitive products. Mojo optimizes 400–500 orders in under a minute within a 72-hour planning window and supports smarter carrier selection; the result was significant time and cost savings, improved visibility and efficiency, and reduced carrier costs and truck usage for hundreds of daily temperature-sensitive shipments.
