Hibbett Sports, a full-line sporting goods retailer operating over 1,000 stores in small- and mid-sized U.S. markets, faced growing complexity as vendor shipments and store count increased. The company relied on spreadsheets, a homegrown TMS and manual processes, which created data silos, limited visibility into inbound shipments and made consolidation and cost control difficult.

Hibbett implemented MercuryGate’s TMS and Mojo optimization (adding suppliers and a California consolidation center) to centralize transportation data, improve load planning, rate comparison and scheduling, and enable backhaul opportunities. The program delivered more than $1 million in savings and cut inbound freight costs by over 30% in the last year, while streamlining workflows and enabling further optimization through features like Bid Board and ezVision.
