Väderstad, a family-owned agricultural machinery manufacturer, needed to move away from a 20-year-old Excel-based reporting model that created heavy manual work, version control issues, and risk of misregistration as the company grew and added subsidiaries. Mercur provided Mercur Business Control to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, including monthly consolidation of subsidiary results and financial reporting.

With Mercur, Väderstad now has standardized reports across business units, up-to-date and comparable numbers, and the ability for users to drill down into underlying data themselves. Mercur also integrated with Väderstad’s Jeeves and iScala systems, reducing manual effort and improving reporting quality; the company says it has saved a lot of time in many areas, though no exact quantified time or cost savings were given.
