Flexible support for diversified activities of Svenska Mässan and Gothia Towers

Svenska Mässan, the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre, needed a more flexible performance management solution to support very different parts of its business, including trade fairs, conferences, hotels, and restaurants. The company turned to Mercur and its Mercur Business Control platform to handle both project-based planning and ongoing operational budgeting and reporting.

Mercur Business Control was implemented to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, with specialized modules for trade fair calculations, personnel budgeting, and standard cost calculations in hotels and restaurants. The solution was integrated with Svenska Mässan’s ERP system Visma and its HR system, helping the organization improve financial control, plan event synergies, and support its goal of delivering the best overall experience to more than 1.8 million annual visitors.
