Bonnierförlagen, part of the Bonnier publishing group, needed a faster and more reliable way to handle budgeting, consolidation, forecasting, and ongoing financial analysis. Mercur’s Business Control was chosen to replace manual, time-consuming processes that created errors and weak decision support, while also fitting the company’s need to track profitability at the level of individual book titles.

Mercur implemented Business Control 7 to support budgeting, rolling forecasts, target-based control, reporting, and analysis, with drill-down to transaction level and even scanned invoices. The solution was extended across central controlling, publishers, and book clubs, giving more than 100 users access through Web Deploy and reducing IT effort. As a result, Bonnierförlagen gained more flexible planning, simpler consolidation, better report maintenance, and broader day-to-day business management support.
