Case Study: Leading Bank D achieves a lasting, diversity-focused mentoring program with Mentoring Complete

A Mentoring Complete Case Study

Preview of the Leading Bank D Case Study

Business Mentoring in the Banking Industry

Leading Bank D faced a clear diversity gap: leadership wanted a formal mentoring program to advance underrepresented employees but lacked the internal resources to build one. After interviewing firms and receiving a recommendation for Management Mentors’ Rene Petrin, the bank chose Mentoring Complete to develop a diversity-focused mentoring solution, including mentoring consultations, employee resource group facilitation, an orientation program, and a mentor resource book.

Mentoring Complete helped set up employee resource groups for women and African Americans, guided management through candid discussions, and implemented mentoring and networking recommendations. The program is still in use, with rotating membership to ensure broad participation; bank leaders report stronger buy-in, more open dialogue between mentors and mentees, and a durable, ongoing mentoring framework that has given Leading Bank D the confidence to sustain the initiative.
