Rail Giant Empowers Mobile Users to Conduct Business Globally

MTR Corporation, one of the world’s leading railway operators, needed to provide secure web access for about 2,000 mobile employees in Hong Kong who work remotely and face higher cyber risk. The company wanted stronger protection than antivirus and endpoint tools could offer while still allowing open access to web and cloud resources, and it evaluated Menlo Security as part of that effort.

Using the Menlo Security Cloud Platform, MTR isolated mobile users from web traffic so malware could not reach their laptops, rolling out the solution in phases to ensure stability and fit. The result was measurable protection at scale: in one month, MTR users accessed over 34,000 sites, including 17,000 with detectable vulnerabilities and 3,000 infected with malware, all of which were mitigated by Menlo Security.
