Bank of Hawaii Eliminates Most Web-Based Threats with Isolation Secure Web Gateway

Bank of Hawaii, which operates 70 branches across the Pacific and manages more than $17 billion in assets, needed a better way to handle web-based threats. Its labor-intensive detect-and-respond approach was generating false positives, consuming IT time, and forcing the bank to block access to useful websites for employees. Menlo Security isolated all web traffic in the cloud, removing malware from the browsing path while preserving a native user experience. Since deployment, Bank of Hawaii has had zero web-based malware infections, eliminated regular machine reimaging, and freed IT resources for higher-value work. The solution also allowed the bank to safely reopen access to websites that had previously been off-limits.
