A Mendix Case Study
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) needed a faster, more flexible way to build and maintain the software systems at the center of its anti-doping operations. Its legacy Java and mobile applications had become monolithic, difficult to update, and hard for a small team to adapt to changing regulatory and user requirements, so WADA turned to Mendix low-code development.
Using Mendix, WADA modernized its Athlete Biological Passport system in 10 months and began splitting its old platform into multiple microservices-based applications, including sample management and a user access portal. With Mendix, WADA improved deployment speed, scalability, and reuse of components, reduced development and release effort, and enabled faster updates while keeping full control over sensitive data.
