VitaTech, part of Dutch maintenance group Van Dorp, provides technical maintenance for about 18,000 properties worth €15.5 billion. Operating in a conservative, paper‑heavy market with fragmented IT systems, complex SLAs and a national shortage of skilled technicians, the company struggled to give tenants, property owners and contractors real‑time visibility into maintenance requests and status — and faced the added challenge of consolidating data from sensors, legacy systems and public registries without polluting data quality.
To solve this, VitaTech built VitaConnect, a unified platform that aggregates data, prioritizes tickets with smart algorithms, dispatches the nearest technician via GPS, and sends automated notifications and invoicing. Launched after six months by a 22‑person team, VitaConnect is used by 1,200 employees, handles over 800,000 tickets a year and has cut maintenance time by 45%, delivering transparent processes, better resource deployment and a significantly improved customer experience.
