USI, a leading electronics manufacturer with 22,000 employees and 30 production sites worldwide, was struggling with aging, non-standardized systems and a waterfall-based development approach that hurt scalability, maintainability, and employee experience. The company evaluated low-code platforms in 2023 and selected Mendix to help modernize development and support global process transformation.

Mendix implemented USI Connect, a centralized workflow application that replaced a collection of legacy systems with one modern platform. In just 8 months, USI recreated 70 workflows and launched the first workflows in September 2024, improving user experience with single sign-on, integrating with SAP, MES, and HR systems, and creating reusable components that will speed future development.
