SUEZ, one of the world’s largest water, electricity and waste-management companies, needed to modernize UK customer experiences and eliminate costly, manual sales processes. The challenge was to create an e‑commerce capability that could retain large enterprise accounts and efficiently acquire many smaller customers—each with postcode‑ and route‑sensitive pricing—rather than relying on expensive door‑to‑door sales.
Using Mendix low‑code, SUEZ delivered a fully integrated e‑commerce portal with a postcode‑based pricing/CPQ tool in three months. The solution generated £500k in net new revenue in the first three months, reduced customer acquisition costs by fivefold, improved digital customer interactions, and unlocked more efficient supplier and procurement processes.
