Sibelco Keeps the Core Clean as they Roll Out SAP S/4HANA Globally

Sibelco, the global mining and materials company, needed a more resource-efficient way to modernize legacy systems, support its SAP S/4HANA rollout, and deliver new business applications during the disruption of COVID-19. Traditional development had become slow, costly, and difficult to align with business needs, so Sibelco turned to Mendix and low-code to help bridge the gap between standard enterprise software and custom requirements.

Mendix helped Sibelco build a low-code “app factory” with Agile and DevOps practices, enabling the company to rebuild legacy apps and create new mobile and operational solutions on top of SAP. The result was a portfolio of 20 applications across the business, plus support for SAP S/4HANA deployment in 19 countries, showing how Mendix helped Sibelco standardize non-standard processes and accelerate digital transformation.
