Shop Service Center, a leading non-food supplier in the Benelux with more than 1,500 customers, €80M+ in annual revenue and a catalog of 1,000+ items, needed to replace an inflexible e‑voucher distribution system. The challenge was to connect quickly to new vendors and customers, reduce inventory costs, and build seamless integrations without changing legacy systems—while handling immediate point‑of‑sale buy requests and supporting asynchronous, distributed inventory for regions with unreliable internet.

Mendix was selected for its speed and flexibility over a full Java implementation; an Atos Origin team (mostly new to Mendix) delivered the solution in two months. The Mendix‑hosted application manages e‑voucher stock, generates supplier purchase orders, interfaces with POS systems and SAP, supports asynchronous distributed inventory, and was delivered on time and on budget—giving Shop Service Center the integration flexibility and operational agility it needed.
