Rapidly Delivering a Transparent and Automated Fund Administration Platform

Alchelyst, a Dublin-based private markets administrator founded in 2023, needed a faster, more flexible way to automate highly bespoke fund administration processes that had traditionally relied on manual work, spreadsheets, and email. The firm chose Mendix and its low-code platform to build its digital fund administration solution, Aurum, with an initial focus on capital events and other client-facing workflows.

Using Mendix and implementation partner AuraQ, Alchelyst launched a configurable, transparent platform with workflow tracking, document version control, and automated reassignment features. The result was a major boost in speed and efficiency: capital events that once took two to three days can now be completed in about a day, and Alchelyst says development velocity is at least 4x faster than with traditional coding, helping them deliver working demos and new functionality in just days.
