Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, needed a faster way to digitize internal processes while meeting strict regulatory requirements and operating with a lean team. To close gaps in its existing systems, Mumtalakat adopted the Mendix low-code platform to build custom applications for procurement and legal workflows.

Mendix helped Mumtalakat deliver three apps, including the CEO Cover Letter and Tender Committee applications, with integrated workflows, automated approvals, reminders, and DocuSign connectivity. The results were significant: CEO signature processing dropped from up to 8 hours and a few weeks to less than 20 minutes and under a day, and more than 400 documents have been processed, saving countless hours and improving efficiency across the organization.
