Plieger Accelerates Quote Generation to Increase Showroom Sales

Plieger Group, a retailer specializing in plumbing, heating, air, ventilation, and energy storage, faced a slow, manual quote-generation process across its 20 showrooms. This limited showroom appointments, slowed sales, and made it difficult for staff to efficiently serve customers. Plieger turned to Mendix and its low-code platform to modernize the experience and replace aging legacy systems with a more centralized solution.

Mendix helped Plieger Group build a Showroom Application that automated quote creation, centralized product and pricing data, and improved product search and recommendations. The new app generates PDF quotes by email, syncs data in near real time, and cut quote creation time to about 30 minutes; it has already produced more than 2,000 quotes since launching in August 2022 and reduced employee training time from months to a day.
