North Carolina State University needed to centralize registration and tracking for its non-credit courses and mandated employee training—programs that serve hundreds of thousands of community participants each year. NC State selected the Mendix rapid application platform and a small team built a unified app, delivering a minimally viable product in eight weeks using agile development and prebuilt modules. The solution streamlined registration and compliance reporting, cut time and cost versus off‑the‑shelf or in‑house builds, and is being expanded across the university’s 10 colleges to replace legacy apps and support new systems.
