MS Amlin, a well-regarded Lloyd’s and European specialty insurer, faced pressures from changing markets, distribution models and regulations while scaling operations and technology. As it built multiple Mendix applications for claims, underwriting and broker portals, data duplication, governance, security and app performance became major challenges that threatened agility and compliance.

Working with Mendix and First Consulting, MS Amlin implemented Mendix Data Hub to create a product catalog and logical domain model that links underwriting, claims and broker systems for real-time data sharing. By using collaborator access, custom headers to scope broker visibility and authorization-level filtering to improve performance, the company reduced integration work, improved developer productivity, strengthened data governance and security, and gained a single source of truth that drives a more efficient, data-driven business.
