Mammoet Reduces Project Administration Workload by Over 50% with Real-Time Information Portal

Mammoet Road Cargo set out to improve operational efficiency by automating driver time-registration and eliminating a heavy paper flow between its home base and vehicles. Although CarrierWeb onboard computers were installed to capture time, mileage and fuel data, Mammoet’s back-office system (Metacom) required a custom integration to close the information loop, so the company engaged CAPE Groep to develop a web-based solution.

Using the Mendix platform, CAPE delivered the Onboard Computer Portal to link Metacom and CarrierWeb, automate the full transaction cycle (order → planning → execution → billing), and provide real-time project tracking with a special algorithm to split multi-project work orders. The Portal eliminated 700 pages of weekly reports, cut project-administration man-hours by more than 50% (saving executive time), improved cost control and customer service, and delivered an expected ROI within two years.
