The Julius Center at Utrecht University Medical Centre needed to replace a rigid, code-heavy electronic data capture (EDC) system that was slow, costly to change, and ill-suited to modern regulatory requirements. Within six months the Mendix solution outperformed the prior five-year system, enabling three new applications, 150% more studies, studies to go live within weeks, stronger data security and GCP/ISAE 3402 Type II compliance, and broad adoption across hundreds of trials, thousands of users and hundreds of thousands of participants.
