Increasing Insight into Critical Equipment Management with Fugro

Fugro, a global geo-data specialist, needed to replace its legacy Equipment Management System (EMS), which tracked thousands of critical equipment items, certifications, maintenance status, and audit records. Working with Mendix and implementation partner EGALiT, Fugro aimed to modernize the system before end-of-support while improving compliance, usability, and cloud readiness.

Mendix helped Fugro rebuild EMS as a cloud-native low-code application that preserved existing functionality, added offline access for vessels, improved dashboarding, and strengthened approval controls for more accurate status updates. The rollout stayed on time and within budget, reduced manual spreadsheet work, improved operational efficiency and data accuracy, and was delivered to users in July 2022, with Fugro noting the new system exceeded expectations.
